Solution
Due to the nature of the production process, the facility exhibits high and continuous consumption of electricity throughout most of the operating time. To improve energy efficiency and optimise the use of electricity, a 200,2 kWp solar power plant was installed in combination with the GeoEnergy GE215L battery energy storage, with a capacity of 100 kW and a capacity of 215 kWh.
The photovoltaic system allows its own generation of electricity from renewable sources, and the battery storage is designed to store excess energy produced, provide energy during increased loads and reduce spikes (so-called peak shaving). Such a system design allows for more efficient energy management, relieving strain on the power grid and making the facility more stable and cost-effective in the long term.
