Solution
For Avtotehnika Celje, we implemented an advanced upgrade to their existing solar power plant, integrating an energy storage system with a total connected power of 260 kW and a capacity of 522 kWh. This solution significantly improved the flexibility, stability, and efficiency of their energy management.
The integrated energy storage system enables advanced management of energy flows, including peak shaving and the optimal utilization of surplus solar energy. This significantly increases self-consumption of energy and reduces reliance on the electricity grid.
Operating the system based on electricity market prices enables dynamic operational optimization. The system coordinates the charging and discharging of the storage unit with market conditions, storing energy during periods of more favorable prices and utilizing it during periods of higher prices. This allows for efficient cost optimization and improved management of energy flows.
GridIQ plays a key role in the system's operation, coordinating energy production, consumption, and storage in real-time, and ensuring optimal performance across all operating modes.
The entire system is transparently accessible to the user via the digital portal geogridIQ, which provides 24/7 insight into key parameters: production, consumption, the status of the energy storage unit, and energy flows.
This project represents a significant step for Avtotehnika Celje towards greater energy efficiency, operational stability, and long-term energy cost optimization.

By integrating an Battery energy storage system into its existing energy infrastructure and implementing advanced GridIQ management and the geogridIQ digital platform, Avtotehnika Celje has significantly improved its energy management efficiency. The solution enables better utilization of self-generated electricity, reduces peak loads, and ensures more balanced consumption throughout the day.
At the same time, the system allows operations to adapt to electricity market conditions, contributing to long-term optimization of electricity costs and greater stability in the company's energy operations.
